How to choose a car coating supplier: a checklist for studios and distributors

For a detailing studio or a distributor, the coating brand is not just a product on the shelf. It decides margins, how many complaints you handle and how easy it is to train new staff. Here is what we suggest checking before the first order — whichever supplier you choose.

1. Full technical data, not slogans

“Nano”, “9H” and “up to 3 years” say little on their own. Ask for numbers you can compare: contact angle, layer thickness, consumption per m², cure time before delivery, resistance to acids, alkalis and solvents. A serious supplier publishes a technical data sheet (TDS) for every product. KRYTEX has one for each item in the range, in English, Chinese and Russian — for example, MEGA 8: 118°, 60–80 nm, 1–2 ml/m², pH 1–14, cure at least 8 h.

2. Safety and compliance documents

For import and legal sale you need more than a brochure: safety data sheets (SDS) for the EU, MSDS for China, test reports such as RoHS for films. Check what exists before you sign, and who handles customs paperwork. On this site the documents for each product are listed on its page and in the documents section.

3. A range that covers the whole job

Every extra supplier adds logistics and another set of rules. A useful range covers preparation (DEGREASER, OPTIC), coatings for paint, glass, wheels, leather and textiles, film installation products (PPF SOAP, PPF GEL) and the films themselves. Then one order covers a full job, from wash to delivery.

4. Training and application support

A coating is only as good as its application. Ask whether the supplier trains technicians, provides written application steps and answers questions after the sale. KRYTEX Academy offers hands-on training at the partner's site or at our facility and a personal technician certificate that studios can show to their clients.

5. Realistic durability claims

Durability always depends on preparation, washing habits and climate. Good suppliers state conditions: KRYTEX coatings are applied at 15–25 °C and no more than 60% humidity, and cure at least 8 hours before handover. Compare products only within one surface — paint, glass and wheels have different jobs. Our comparison table rates protection, gloss, slickness and ease of application within each group.

6. Partner terms you can grow with

Look at minimum order, pricing levels, territory protection and marketing support — and whether they change as you grow. KRYTEX works with three formats: detailing studios (from one case), dealers (city protection) and distributors (regional exclusivity). In Europe, supply and support go through our official representative, AR PRO Partners OÜ in Tallinn, which covers 31 countries.

7. Manufacturer or reseller

A supplier with its own production controls quality batch by batch, keeps stock stable and can make products under your brand. KRYTEX formulas are developed in Europe and produced at our plant in Guangzhou; OEM and private label production is available.

The short checklist

  • TDS with comparable numbers for every product
  • SDS / MSDS and test reports for your market
  • One range for preparation, coatings and film installation
  • Training and written application steps
  • Durability stated with conditions
  • Clear minimum order, pricing and territory terms
  • Own production and the option of private label
